"Our project aims to bridge the connectivity gap, providing Marap with digital and communal solutions for sustainable development. Through the design, construction, and full implementation of a digital community center, adolescents and all community members in Marap will be able to benefit from digital information, products, and services, such as telemedicine, distance learning programs, financial advising, and virtual informative talks and workshops that connect Marap to the rest of the world. “Cuentan tus Pasos” will organize digital and on-ground events that address and cultivate the needs of the youth, introducing a variety of skills and relevant knowledge that can contribute to their improvement and development. With equal access to information and communication technologies, volunteer experts from a range of industries will be able to reach the community, increasing their competitiveness and opening the door to global citizenship. Moreover, the center will also serve as a communal place of gathering where community members can access key services or meet to engage in social and educational practices. Overall “Conecta Marap” will provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for the community to come together and create valuable experiences.
